The dumbest textbook ever

If your instructor uses this textbook's question pool to to test you, get ready to memorize thousands of, often times, useless definitions to answer questions of the following type:

There are several types of EC. Transactions between businesses and consumers (B2C) are known as:

business-to-customer.
business-to-consumer.
business-to-controller.
business-to-carrier.

Each chapter is basically 50 pages of definitions without sufficient context or application, not the mention the totally outrageous price the authors charge for it. The worst class and textbook ever!

Curious Bella gets spanked.

The excellent writer Maria Monroe dropped this book without fanfare and I knew that I had to read it. She told me that it was "porny" (as if that would turn me off of a book). Other than that, I went in without knowing much about it.

It's a spanking book. I don't know that I've ever read a spanking book. (I mean if you check out my Goodreads list, yeah, obviously it's happened in books I've read, but a book where that's the central issue? No.)

So. Bella's a dog walker. She gets hired by Kane, the hot guy down the street in the mansion--the one with the brooding eyes and the "is he gay?" guy buddy--to walk his dog and watch his house.

But she's to stay out of his office.

Curiosity gets the better of her and she finds herself drinking fancy irreplaceable whiskey and watching his homemade porn in there. Cue disaster. Cue him finding out.

Cue bargain. Huge check for the down payment of her grandmother's house (because that's how expensive the damage was she created) or five spanking sessions? (By the way, the bargain was her idea not his.)

She picks spanking.

This book is hot and naughty, well-written and sexy, fun but with an emotional punch. And yes, porny.

I adore Maria's writing, I'll read anything she writes. I think you should, too.

Loved it!

This is a new author for me and I have to say I loved this book! I got drawn in by the characters and their story and I couldn't put it down. The relationship that develops between Bella and Kane is smoking hot, heartbreaking at moments, and oh, so good! I would love to see Charlie get his own story, he was so sweet! I received this book from Stormy Night Publications as an Advanced Reader Copy.

I'll never look at Whiskey the same way again!

I was a bit reluctant to pay $4.95 for a 130 page book. (I try to abide by my penny a page rule). I threw all caution to be the wind, bite the bullet and downloaded it. I am so glad I did. Kane and Bella rock as a couple. The set up is perfect! The punishments were Hot and the Sex was even Hotter!!! The book was the perfect length to tell the story. This is my first book by this author but it will not be my last. I read this in two sittings stopping only to sleep when my Kindle hit my head having fallen asleep reading. I consider this money well spent. Five White Hot Stars on this one!!! ~ JULE K. ~

I did view the movie which I also recommend having. It just helps explain the man

.....still "reviewing" the book as I've recently purchased several on Mapplethorpe including the movie CD of his life with Sam Wagstaff. I did view the movie which I also recommend having. It just helps explain the man....actually both men to some degree. Mapplethorpe was a complicated man....or so it seems through the eyes of books about him and of course his photography. If you're a collector of all things Mapplethorpe this is one for the collection.

About the Author

The International Function Point Users Group (IFPUG) is a nonprofit, member-governed organization. The mission of IFPUG is to be a recognized leader in promoting and encouraging the effective management of application software development and maintenance activities through the use of Function Point Analysis (FPA) and other software measurement techniques. IFPUG endorses FPA as its standard methodology for software functional sizing. In support of this, IFPUG maintains the Function Point Counting Practices Manual (CPM), the recognized industry standard for FPA. In order to complement the functional aspect of measuring software size, in 2011 the Assessment Practices Manual (APM) was released by IFPUG. The APM provides a quantifiable measure for the non-functional size of software development by means of documented guidance, definitions, and practices about non-functional software features and related sizing criteria. The chapter within this book titled "Software Non-functional Assessment Process (SNAP)" introduces the concept.

Dr Philip A Kalra MA MB BChir FRCP MD is a Consultant Nephrologist and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Hope Hospital, Salford Royal Hospitals Trust and the University of Manchester. Dr Kalra qualified from Cambridge University in 1982 and has worked as a renal and general physician at Hope Hospital, Salford since 1995. Will recommend this book for everyone doing MRCP
Condense form of what you need to know for the exam.
It is a lot of information and still not enough to pass exam alone, but covers the main topics exactly what is needed.
You will need to read more than what is in the book, but that is to be expected for this post grad exam.
Anyone doing this exam purchase the book it is as the name says ESSENTIAL

I bought the kindle version a month ago and has been reading it. I am amazed at the amount of essential/clinically relevant info packed in the book. I know I have the right book for the MRCP exams. Much glad I made the purchase although way too costly for the kindle version!

I am not satisfied with my purchase. I especially bought this book to read neurology section and to my disappointment it has some mistakes. They are not typos but pure factual mistakes :(

Dr. Pohl is noted for bringing the ancient past to life using a wide variety of innovative skills and techniques ranging from museum exhibitions for Princeton University, the Getty, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art to film productions for the History Channel, the Discovery Channel, the BBC and Dreamworks. In addition to his work in education through public media, he currently serves as Adjunct Full Professor in the Department of Art History at UCLA.

Excellent visual insight

Well written with excellent pictorial information. And one who has done any kind of research into this period of history and was curious about how things actually looked would be very interested in seeing good detailed and written descriptions of maps, battle suits, weaponry and other items of the period. A good overview of the events during this period in Mexico's history, but the book is more valuable as a visual insight. Would highly recommend this as an ideal companion book to read with a more detailed historical book of this period in history, such as Bernal Diaz del Castillo's book of the conquest or William H. Prescott's wonderfully written History of the Conquest of Mexico.

Any student of early Spanish history or Aztec history must take a look at AZTECS & CONQUISTADORES: THE SPANISH INVASION & THE COLLAPSE OF THE AZTEC EMPIRE, which surveys the impact the Spanish conquests had on world history. The focus here is upon the military might of Cortes, the training and experience of men on both sides of the conflict, and the major battles that subdued the Aztecs. Color maps, illustrations and charts throughout enhance the survey and provide exact explanations and insights suitable for both high school and college level history students.

A good general history of the Conquest

Aztecs and Conquistadors is a book from the deservedly-famed Osprey Publishers that contains the full text of three earlier books, two of the Warrior books (Aztec Warrior and Conquistador) and the Essential History: The Spanish Invasion of Mexico 1519-1521.

Aztec Warrior is exactly what it sounds like, a history of the development and fighting abilities of Aztec fighting men and how they were used and lead against their enemies in pre-Columbian Mexico. The Conquistadors does the same for the Spanish warriors who defeated the Aztecs. I do have a problem with that chapter, in that I hoped for some information on how the Spanish fought in Europe as well as in the New World. The last chapter is some very well-done coverage of Cortes' conquest of Mexico. It thankfully avoids the typical trap of seeking to judge past lives and cultures by modern standards. It treats both the Aztecs and the Spanish with a mix of sympathy and criticism. They also make sure to mention the role played by other Mexican Indians in the Conquest, with the army of 100,000 Indian allies who joined Cortes to destroy Tenochtitlan.

A decent book, rather better then many another history of the Conquest, and it has the usual incredibly well-done full color Osprey illustrations. You won't be sorry to get this one.
