About the Author

Chris Clarkson is a Professor of Law at the University of Leicester. In addition to his conflict of laws book published by OUP, he has written several books on criminal law. In 2002 he was appointed as the National Expert for England and Wales to compile a report on the conflict of law rules on matrimonial property for an EU Commission-funded project and in 2007 was commissioned by the Ministry of Justice to adivse the UK Government on its response to the EU Green Paper on Matrimonial Property. He has also acted as Specialist Advisor to the Home Affairs and Work and Pensions Committees of the House of Commons examining the Draft Corporate Manslaughter Bill.


Jonathan Hill is a Professor of Law at the University of Bristol; he was Head of the School in 2000-2003 and again in 2009-10. He has written extensively in the field of private international law. His works include Cross-Border Consumer Contracts (OUP, 2008) and numerous journal articles on topics ranging from choice of law in contract to the recognition of divorces under Irish law.

Unique perspective on the life of Jesus

This book is written by a man that lived in the Holy Land for many years. Based on his knowledge of Galilee, he writes an account of Jesus' life as a series of travels around Galilee and the surrounding regions. For the first time, the progression of Jesus' ministry made sense to me. I highly recommend this book if you want a better understanding of Jesus' life in the context of the time and place that he lived. There is a second book that deals with Jesus in Jerusalem.

He was such a powerful teacher and researcher that I was taking careful notes of each demonstration of his findings. This is a fast reading, wonderfully simple explaination of the universe and it's make-up. Being written just as easy as asking simple questions and getting clear,easy and concise answers. I originally read this on kindle and now bought the hard copy so I could re-read it and then pass it on to others. I wish more topics could be written this way.
